Big Game Week is the Rally Committee’s busiest and most exciting week of the year. The entire week is filled with events, rallies, and tons of spirit celebrating the traditions of Cal. The week culminates with the Bonfire Rally, which is one of our biggest rallies of the year, and of course the Big Game against our rivals across the bay.
This year, we are bringing back some of our favorite events and traditions. We’d love for you to be a part of our celebration of Big Game Week!
Cable Car Rally
Cal Spirit will parade around the streets of San Francisco in a cable car to turn the bay Blue and Gold.

Laugh Your Axe Off w/ jericho! improv
Start your week off with a laugh by watching some of the best performers Cal has to offer. jericho! is one of Berkeley’s improv and sketch comedy teams, famous for comedic videos and Friday night improv shows. They will be performing improv and sharing Berkeley-related sketches in preparation for the Big Game! Wednesday 11/17 | Sproul 12 p.m.
Tree Chopping Rally
It is not a good day to be a tree…. Come out to Sproul for a Noon Rally featuring the Cal Logging Team! They will be chopping up some logs and taking down trees to show what California Golden Bears are capable of. Cal Spirit will also be there to get the crowd hyped. It is such a fun time and definitely something you do not want to miss!
Thursday 11/18 | Bowles Lot 8 p.m.
Come along with Cal Spirit (Cal Band, Cal Dance, Cal Cheer, Oski, and the Rally Committee) as we parade around the residence halls and Berkeley streets sharing our love for Cal. What better way to get excited for the Big Game than by singing and dancing along to Cal songs! Don’t forget to come outside and join us!
Friday 11/19 | Greek Theatre, doors open at 6 p.m.
Come out to the biggest rally of the year. The Bonfire Rally is a spectacular show full of performances and, of course, fire. This event highlights the traditions of Cal, as this has been a hallmark of Big Game Weeks since the beginning.
