Job Description:

As Director of Special Events, it is MY job to make sure YOU have an amazing time during Cal Day and during our three spirit weeks over the course of the year. I have the honor of planning and organizing events for the campus community that occur during Homecoming Week, Big Game Week and Charter Week. Some of these events include, but are not limited to, Night Rallies (wooo!), Laugh Your Axe Off, Tree-Chopping Rally, Charter Games and Oskiland! 

Brief Biography:

Yo yo yiggity yo! My name is Pamela Sherman (yes, like P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way Sydney from Finding Nemo) and I come from the beautiful city of Redondo Beach, California. I'm pretty recognizable because of my ridiculously curly hair, which people constantly enjoy boinging and using to open wine bottles (just kidding about the second one). I'm an only child, but luckily I have my fellow Rally Commers who have basically become my siblings :) Some of my favorite things include Cal (obviously), running (I ran cross country and track all four years of high school), playing piano (all day e'rry day), dancing (even though I'm not good at it) and taking long walks on the beach with my sexy roommate. I'm super friendly and I love people, so don't be afraid to say hi!

Favorite Rally Comm Moment:

Freshmen More Wood, and any time we beat the 'furd.

Why did you decide to be a part of the Executive Committee?

 I wanted to be a part of the Executive Committee because not only am I passionate about the University of California Rally Committee, but I am passionate about Cal. I wanted to have a larger role in this group that is responsible for so much of the University's incredible history, traditions, symbols, etc. I had a great experience as a younger member in the Committee between its events/duties and all the beautiful people within the Committee, so I wanted (and still want) that to continue throughout the rest of my time at Cal.

Celebrity Crush?

Emma Stone. I don't know why but I'm obsessed with her. But seriously, Andrew Garfield. I can't help it. And this is funny because they're dating...

 

If you could claim credit for one invention, what would it be?

I would probably take credit for the Post-it because Post-its are awesome. 

Would you rather have the ability to fly or to be invisable?

Flying!! It would be way quicker, convenient and fun! Being invisible would require being quiet, and that's a concept with which I'm not very familiar.

Who would play you in a movie about your life?

It depends... are we basing this off of personality or appearance? If it's appearance, then definitely Shirley Temple, because people have compared me to her before. If it's personality, my roommate would probably do the best job because we're practically the same person anyway.

 

If you had a time machine, where would you go?

I'd probably go back in time to save Sirius Black and Buckbeak. Who wouldn't?
