Vice Chair of Membership

Julie Haduong

Year at Cal: 3rd

Year in the Committee: 3nd

Major: Bioengineering (with a possible joint major in Material Science Engineering)

Job Description:

I'm membership mama, which means I get to help plan the most amazing events where people bond and have fun, like Road Trip, Haas Lockin, and Spirit BBQ! I'm also always available as a resource to all members, so let's be freinds! :) My branch also happens to be the most badass people ever...

Brief Biography:

Let's be honest, I was born this sexy. Just kidding, but really. I'm from Huntington Beach (down SoCal), so I can usually be found basking in the sunshine like a content little fun-sized turtle. I love cooking AND eating, so if you're a food adventurer, let me know.

Favorite Rally Comm Moment:

Every RallyComm moment is my favorite moment. But the most memorable (and completely spur of the moment) experience was getting to travel with Renee, the Cal flag, Cheer Team, Cal Band, Oski, and the Women's Basketball team to the WNCAA tournament in Indiana.

Why did you decide to be a part of the Executive Committee?

Because I love Cal, and I want everybody else to love Cal as much as I do! ...And everybody else was doing it...

Celebrity Crush?

If Ryan Gosling ever said "Hey girl..." to me, I'd probably spontaneously combust. But I'm also in love with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Chris Pine (who graduated from Berkeley!!) and Chris Evans.

If you could claim credit for one invention, what would it be?

I'd claim credit for scissors, because let's face it, cutting up a quesadilla with a knife just takes way too long.

Would you rather have the ability to fly or to be invisable?

Uhh fly. Because then it'd only take me like 2 minutes to fly from my apartment to class. And being invisible would make it really hard to order Chipotle.

Who would play you in a movie about your life?

Tila Tequila (and yes, I'm typecasting). Or Snooki, but she wouldn't be very reliable actress because of (a) her perpetual drunkness and (b) her baby.

If you had a time machine, where would you go?

I'd go to three places/times. First, I'd go back to the moment when my parents met for the first time. Then, I'd go back further and watch the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Lasty, I'd hop all the way back to the dinosaurs and tame a pterodactyl that I would name Petri.

What would you rather be doing instead of filling out this survey?

I'd rather be sitting on a surfboard next to the Huntington Beach pier....or eating ice cream. If you want to get all crazy, I could potentially be doing both at the same time.
