Director of Rallies

Katie Miller

Year at Cal: 3rd

Year in the Committee: 3nd

Major: Civil Engineering and Political Science

Job Description:

I am in charge of planning the rallies. Noon, Homecoming, Big Game, Bonfire, Cable Car, you name it, I do it. (Except the Night and Tree Chopping varieties. Those belong to the stunning Pamela Sherman).

Brief Biography:

I'm from Ventura California. I am obsessed with musicals and I love to bake. Combine the two and you get a loud, crazy, awesome, delicous day in the kitchen with me. I also love playing sports, particularily volleyball, and hanging out with the fantastic folk of Rally Comm. And I love Cal. Go Bears.

Favorite Rally Comm Moment:

Standing inside the Bonfire structure last year with Jackson Jewett as we prepared to light it.

Why did you decide to be a part of the Executive Committee?

The Rally Committee has become my family and I love being able to contribute back to it and hang out with the people I love most.

Celebrity Crush?

Pamela Sherman. Or Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It's a tie.

If you could claim credit for one invention, what would it be?

The stand mixer. It's such a beautiful invention. Emilia Kronschnabel can attest.

Would you rather have the ability to fly or to be invisable?

Definitely fly. When I was little I beleived I could fly. I would jump off my toilet in many attempts but it never panned out.

Who would play you in a movie about your life?

Pamela Sherman. Joseph Gordon-Levitt probably wouldn't portray my life very well. Although he is rather talented.

If you had a time machine, where would you go?

Memorial Stadium. Saturday, November 20, 1982. Or else to some era with really cool dresses like the 1950s or 1800s. Just minus the female oppression.

What would you rather be doing instead of filling out this survey?

Sleeping. Or baking. Or planning my rallies. But mostly sleeping...
